Before Sean Hill could ever even physically pick up a guitar he had a passion for songwriting. "I remember sitting in my room as a child with the guitar flat on the ground just plucking open strings and singing jumbled words in some sort of melody" Hill says. Now the 27 year old Atlanta native is finding his true voice as a songwriter writing worship songs.
With co-writes with established writers like Jennie Lee Riddle, Israel Houghton, Micah Massey, Shelly E. Johnson, Dustin Smith, Rod Lumpkin, Sean Carter, Micah Tyler, and more, Sean has found his voice in writing songs for the bride of Christ, the church.
Even though Sean's time in the Christian music industry has been relatively short in comparison to some, Sean is already seeing his songs recorded on several albums big and small. But Hill says "what brings me great joy is getting messages and videos from churches/worship pastors who have graciously adopted a song, that I have been blessed to have worked on, to be a part of their church's worship language to God".
New Life Worship is the team of vocalists, musicians and songwriters from the Colorado Springs, CO-based New Life Church whose heartbeat is to help people encounter Jesus and develop a life of worship. Every song, resource and facet of New Life’s ministry is designed with that end in mind.
Known for originating anthems like “Overcome,” “Great I Am,” “I Am Free,” “Your Name,” “My Savior Lives” and many more, New Life continues its 20-plus year legacy with the project Strong God.
For the Strong God CD/DVD, worship pastors Brad Parsley and Jon Egan (Desperation Band) introduce the next generation of the New Life Worship team, while collaborating with well-seasoned worship leaders and writers like Michael Farren, Jason Ingram, Cory Asbury, Meredith Andrews and Mia Fieldes.
In the wake of the widespread worship renewal of the 80s, Integrity Music captured the sound of this movement by partnering with worship leaders and churches across the globe. Those early “Hosanna” recordings documented a new sound of worship and helped connect this unique harvest of songs with believers in over 180 nations. In that same tradition, Integrity launches One: A Worship Collective (oneaworshipcollective.
The first title in the One: A Worship Collective series, We Believe, was recorded this spring at the 714 Conference held on the campus of the Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Dallas, TX. An 11-song, live worship album produced by John Hartley (Leigh Nash, Aaron Keyes, TwilaParis, Chris McClarney), the project is a partnership with Influence Resources, whose mission is to impact believers in a way that inspires them to influence their world for Christ.
The songwriters and worship leaders featured on We Believe are: Clayton Brooks (The Oaks Fellowship, Red Oak, TX), Ryan Williams (River Valley Church, Minneapolis, MN), Kurtis Parks (National Community Church, Washington, D.C.), Elmer Cañas Jr. (Calvary Church, Irving, TX), Micah Massey (Free Chapel, Gainesville, GA) and Texas-based worship leader Christine D’Clario.Comment on Facebook Comment on Twitter
