Live Worship At The Station - CD Review
The Station Praise Band, from The Church at Ross Station in Hoover, Alabama, led by well known speaker, author, and Worship Pastor at The Station, Dwayne Moore, recently released its first live worship album entitled Live Worship At The Station. Dwayne is also the author of Pure Praise, an excellent Bible study on praise for worship teams and churches.
Live Worship At The Station contains a nice mix of familiar worship songs like “God Of This City”, “You Never Let Go”, “Overcome” and others, along with several fresh, original songs coming right from artists in the church like “Hallelujah, God Is Faithful”, “Reflection”, “Send Me” and others. The team at The Station did a great job with this project, and it’s evident that God has blessed them with so many talented individuals on the vocal team, band and choir! The production quality is also very high, with a studio-like sound for a live recording. Dwayne’s heart for the Lord and his passion for leading others in the worship of Him come shining through in this heart-felt, passionate worship album.
Several of the stand-out songs on this album were the original songs from The Station. “Send Me” is written by Dwayne Moore, and is a powerful song of commitment – “Send me, I will share Your precious story, Lord, send me.” A fun song of praise is “Hallelujah, God Is Faithful”, a blues-type song complete with harmonica! It also looks like there may have been some team co-writing on this project, since credit for many of the original songs goes to The Station Praise Band.
“We are Waiting”, written by Gary and Stephanie Wright, is another highlight on the album. You can watch the video below.
Putting together a project like this is a huge undertaking for any church praise team, so much credit must be given to Dwayne and his team for Live Worship At The Station. I know many hours of hard work and preparation went into this, and the result is an album filled with real worship by real people.
