Paint Your Picture :: Julie Meyer (CD Review)
If you are unfamiliar with Julie Meyer, she is a veteran worship leader at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City.
Julie's artistic worship and musical creativity are evident in her third album entitled Paint Your Picture. This album is truly unique. I have not heard anything like it.This album is not only well-produced, it is powerful and attention grabbing. From tender songs to songs that make you dance, this is a CD you can pop in and truly have your own personal worship time with.
Like the many colors of a sunset, every song on Paint Your Picture captures a different aspect of Julie’s passion for worship and songwriting. The message of Paint Your Picture is one of hope and freedom and will stir up the Body of Christ’s corporate adoration for God. Julie’s personal heart for Israel also comes through as she sings Jewish melodies and worships joyfully.
One of my favorite songs on the CD is “Jewish Medley”. It sounds like it was recorded live, it truly makes you dance. One of the lines of the song says "I'll grab my tambourine and dance. I'll grab my tambourine. I'll grab my tambourine and dance and sing!" The first track on the CD, "Alabaster Box", is an awesome expression of worship and the perfect song to start off the album.
Many of her songs are straight from Scripture, as Julie fuels believers to praise through the eternal Word of God. Julie's intimate lyrics will inspire the thankful heart to praise the only One who can truly bring freedom and joy on the journey of life. This CD is enhanced with chord charts and lyric sheets.Comment on Facebook Comment on Twitter
