The Neverclaim New Release [Review + Giveaway]

By Wayne Wrzesinski on September 23, 2013

I was stoked to have a chance to review this album by The Neverclaim after hearing these guys a few times live in Longview, WA before they made the move to Nashville recently. Their love of God and desire to worship Him through the music shines through the album and is easy to get lost in for hours. It is mostly guitar driven music with a bit of banjo and mandolin thrown in for good measure.

“One Truth One Life” is one of my favorite tracks on the album. It is a four on the floor number that unashamedly declares that Christ is the only way. A line from the chorus chants that there is “one way to the Father, Jesus Christ.” The song focuses the believer on the greatness of the one true God.

Another song that caught my attention was “Steal Their Hearts”. This track is a prayer for God to capture the hearts of our children. And while I wouldn’t consider it a corporate worship song, as a father it has become a prayer that I connect with deeply. The song acknowledges that we can do all that we can to point our kids towards the Father, but it ultimately relies on Him calling and them answering.

Overall the album is a stellar debut album that has some solid songs for congregational worship and could make for a great soundtrack on any road trip. If you watch the music video for “One Truth One Life” you will see these guys from the great Northwest just worship. It is encouraging to see them enjoying what they do and bringing glory to God through their gifts with music.
