Vernon Hill - Songs From His Presence [Review]
Back in September of this year, music producer & songwriter Vernon Hill released his debut studio album entitled Songs from His Presence - described as an inspiring, powerful intimate worship experience.
Vernon Hill is a Maryland native and graduate of the Shenandoah University Music Conservatory with a B.A. in Music Production and Engineering. Hill's experience includes scoring music for independent short film “Dress to Impress” featured at the Chicago International Music Film Festival. Hill's vast professional talents landed him the position with Rhema Vision Studios as studio engineer in Owings Mills, MD. Hill continues to develop and produce upcoming artists locally and abroad composing his own indentation in the music industry.
Songs from His Presence is a compilation of songs birthed out of personal worship times, which is evident when you listen to this 7-track EP. Additionally, Hill gained inspiration through a handful of believers in a chapel where he heard personal testimonies of God’s miraculous power.
Track after track, I was very impressed by this gospel/soul worship album. It is well-produced and well-written. I've listened to A LOT of gospel albums in my lifetime (because I love that genre) and this indie album is comparable to those of William McDowell, Hezekiah Walker, and Fred Hammond. The songs are full of hope and inspiration. Two standout tracks on the album for me were "In Your Presence" and "Jesus is Calling".
If you appreciate gospel and soul-flavored worship music, I recommend you give this album a listen! It will draw you into His presence.Comment on Facebook Comment on Twitter
